A New York Times Bestseller! An Instant Indie Bestseller!A dark, twisty modern fairytale where three sisters discover they are not exactly all that they seem and evil things really do go bump in the night.Iris Hollow and her two older sisters are unquestionably strange. Ever since they disappeared on a suburban street in Scotland as children only to return a month a later with no memory of what happened to them, odd, eerie occurrences seem to follow in their wake. And they're changing. First, their dark hair turned white. Then, their blue eyes slowly turned black. They have insatiable appetites yet never gain weight. People find them disturbingly intoxicating, unbearably beautiful, and inexplicably dangerous. But now, ten years later, seventeen-year-old Iris Hollow is doing all she can to fit in and graduate high school on time--something her two famously glamourous globe-trotting older sisters, Grey and Vivi, never managed to do. But when Grey goes missing without a trace, leaving behind bizarre clues as to what might have happened, Iris and Vivi are left to trace her last few days. They aren't the only ones looking for her though. As they brush against the supernatural they realize that the story they've been told about their past is unraveling and the world that returned them seemingly unharmed ten years ago, might just be calling them home.

"This book was dark and twisted. It was a dark take on a fairytale. There were plenty of twists and turns. It held my attention the entire book. The characters had their own personalities and made you love and hate them simultaneously. I didnt realize how much I would truly love reading this book until I just couldn’t put it down. As the girls encounter the supernatural, you begin to try and piece together what is going on and try to determine if you can figure out the puzzle. It is very dark and gives the feeling of Supernatural/ Black Mirror. The conclusion the book came to was what I predicted but it was still a very entertaining read to say the least. I think what made me love it the most is how dark the book got from beginning to end. It made my skin crawl and made me yell at the characters for their stupid choices. It was like each page added to the mystery of the sisters, their disappearance, and the world they lived in. I think the book was a perfect length for the story, it was a constant roller coaster, no real restful points and it kept me wanting to read more. The world the book created was such an interesting idea and the finale of the book made me love the book even more. The ending made you think that this could be a nightmare becoming real. It would be a really great read for October, but I think a wonderful read anytime! It definitely will pull you out of a slump."
"Okay hear me out. I can't stand when a blurb mentions other books or shows in relation to the book it is selling. But this 100% gave me Stranger Things vibes with Practical Magic sisterhood thrown in and some classic high-school revenge from The Craft. In the very beginning, I was hooked. The words were unnerving, wild, unpredictable, and just perfect for a fall read. I didn't know what was going to be around each corner.
We follow one of three girls who mysteriously went missing at a young age only turn return knowing nothing of what happened. The mystery only gets stranger from there. Their hair begins to turn white and it's almost as if anything they wish to happen does. I mean how could you not get hooked right away?
Also let me mention this cover. I cannot express how many times I have been burnt by a bewitching page of art and words. This one did not disappoint though. The atmosphere was spot on the world-building chilled me to the bone. I felt uneasy around these characters. It was kind of like The Craft and Practical Magic the way people were drawn to these girls. They were otherworldly and unnatural. Weird things would always happen around them.
And of course who could forget all the twists and turns it made my head spin. Frankly, it's been weeks since I read this book and I'm still thinking about it. And I have to give an honorable mention to normal Tyler haha. He was a great contrast to the crazy mystery."
"This book was excellent. I read it in 3 days. Couldn't put it down. It's dark and a bit creepy but so intriguing and mysterious. "
