"Sad that I don’t see this kind of movie getting released in this day and age. All I gotta say is the more similarities we focus on the easier it will be to live in multi-national world. "

"“Excuse me sir, I need a haircut if you ain’t too busy, you old Italian son of a bitch ***** barber. Boy does my ass hurt from all the guys at my construction job.”
That was the funniest line from a movie that I have watched recently, Gran Torino. A movie that was made in 2008. I watched it on Max.
It stars Clint Eastwood (Also acted in Million Dollar Baby and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly) as a grumpy badass grandpa with a shotgun named Walt Kowalski. He has just lost his wife, and he is angry at everything, at the world, at others, at himself, etc. He sees that a gang is trying to recruit from next door and they’re not taking no for an answer so he intervenes, and the family (Which in includes Bee Vang as Toad (Thao) who also acted in Comisery and Boy Luck Club and Ahney Her as Sue who also acted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Night Club) thanks him by rewarding him and sending their son to help him. And they become friends. Reluctantly, of course, but if it happened automatically, there wouldn’t be a movie.
It's a high recommendation from me. It’s full of drama, action, emotion, funny dialog. I wasn’t sure about this movie, it just seemed like action version of Dirty Grandpa at first, but I’m glad I watched it, and glad it wasn’t.
Directed by Clint Eastwood, and written by Nick Schenk (Helped write Cry Macho and The Mule) and Dave Johannson (Helped write .)
Maybe this movie helped inspire Hobo With A Shotgun? Hhhmmmm….
