"Great movie"

"Rich white people experiment on impoverished African Americans so they fight to the death and kill each other. A battle of racism vs family and friends ensues. The government in this movie is so damn racist and I hate them and want them to fail for being rigged from the start. A flawed but better Purge movie."

"Have not seen the others in the series yet but this prequel was actually much better than I expected. The characters were believable and the main characters sympathetic. Very disturbing though that the setting of the first purge “experiment” would be set in a housing project on Staten Island, mainly involving people of color while coordinated by white government officials, is very disturbing"

"I saw the purge series before this and didn’t really like it but this was such a good, distopian, horror movie. It provided nice background information, the plot and characters slayed, and it wasnt predictable at all. "

"This is hard. I liked but disliked this. It had a great story line until close to the end. The idea of "purging " .... I can see that but how they tracked people was not realistic. The ending seemed a bit rushed to finish it when there was so much more to develop in the storyline. Ok watch."
