Independence Day: Resurgence

"Taking place two decades after the end of the first film, humanity has advanced technologically to better defend themselves from the invaders. Finding a sos single on a disk ship that landed, a new battle begins when the aliens again try to take the resources they wanted in the first film. Worth watching as a few great minds and those who put their lives on the line work together to defeat the destructive menace a second time, though the destruction caused may have also been the defining factor it wasn’t received well"

"Despite there being no Will Smith and dead characters brought back for the hell of it. Independence Day: Resurgence has it’s moments, despite not being a totally necessary sequel. I still wouldn’t mind a 3rd movie where it turns out Will Smith and Bill Pullman didn’t die and were beamed up by the good aliens lol. They can do that if Brett Spiner’s character could be brought back some how."

"I was pleasantly surprised. Being a sequel, I didn’t expect the movie to be as entertaining as it ended up being. There were a few actors from the first movie. The storyline was believable and not a stretch and there was plenty of action, humor and a little bit of romance. I didn’t wish I had the last 2.5 hours back as I quite often do. "
