"Took me forever to watch this as I thought it was a typical zombie flick from the 80s, but I was wrong. They Live has all the corny 80s feels with a creative special effect that was ahead of it's time. John Carpenter knew what he was doing."

"Talk about a movie that aged well! Not only was this movie great for its ahead of its time anticapitalist message, but this move was also really fun. John Carpenter made something that is what we rarely see in Hollywood: ORIGINAL! I loved how the humor was sprinkled in with the cheesy action dialogue and most definitely had a memorable main character. John Carpenter also proves how he's a master of suspense with some of the jump scares throughout the film. This is one of those movies where you can't really pinpoint the genre since it's a nice melting pot of action, sci-fi, horror, and comedy. I was fortunate enough to watch this in the theaters for its 35th anniversary re-release. Highly recommend!!"

"Decent enough. Really enjoyed it at the beginning but towards the middle it kinda lost me but I was determined to finish it anyways. The ending ticked me off but the very end, like very last scene was the best part of the movie to me, I got a good laugh out of it 😂 “formaldehyde face” is a new insult I will be using for the rest of my life 😂😂😂"
