"I appreciate some of the updated aspects of this remake. I believe this movie has been made 3 times, this being the 3rd attempt. Honestly? I never saw the original with Elizabeth Taylor, so I don’t know how this movie stacks up against it. Perhaps this version is most loyal to the first, I genuinely don’t know. When compared to Steve Martin’s version, it pales. Again, there are things I absolutely appreciate about this updated version, however this version will never be my go-to. "
