"I don't really see how this ties into the Witcher, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I thought it was going to show how the Witchers came into existence. They could have done that with one more episode. As it stands, it could have been its own series, without any reference to the Witcher at all. Though I did enjoy the quick watch of just 4 episodes. Good characters, special effects, and action. A solid A."
"I know nothing of the source material, if there even is any. I know The Witcher stans despise it. Other purists can’t get past that this openly steals from just about every other fantasy staple out there, LOTR, GOT, WOT, even Harry Potter and Marvel among more I’m sure. I almost didn’t watch cause I thought, damn do I really want to learn a new world? But despite all that, I had a good time watching it. It adds some cool ideas, has really cool characters and gives you hero’s to root for. Bonus, it’s only 4 eps long. It’s definitely not breaking any new ground, nor will it win any awards, but it’s really fun. "
"Enjoyable. Beautiful cinematography. It felt like a short production for what should be a grand story. "
"I’m one episode in so far and I feel like I’m watching a full season breakdown in 20 minutes. Everything is so rushed I can’t keep up. The relationships between characters are super forced that I honestly don’t care what happens to anyone. I don’t understand the hatred between clans and the importance they put on them coming together. It all means nothing to me. They really could have flushed things out more and given more development to the characters and plot so that I could be more invested. I’m going to finish this up as I’m starved for Witcher content, but so far it’s not looking good. "
