Many background characters have no daemons or whose daemons go absurdly far from their humans, which make it weird when we run into billy costa and we’re supposed to be terrified of him. As much as it’s cool to see lee Scoresby so much, he serves as Mr Exposition in storydragging ways. They also did not make lord Asriel intimidating enough."

It does seem to use a lot of useless scenes and moments sometimes to fill in an episode but I still like it. I think they could feature the deamons more too. Plus the main girl is weird but that's mostly because I liked the one in the movie so much. She was perfect and this girl isn't. It be like someone else trying to play Tony Stark but wasn't RDJ. Still very good. However, sadly it lost my interest. While I fully intend on watching it some more, nothing is making me do it now."

The story, the visuals, and the performances were all spectacular. This is now my second favorite show of all time. I highly recommend it everyone!! Definitely check it out if you’re a sci-fi/fantasy fan. 10/10"

glenna shared a tip "Very disappointed in this show. I’ve read the books MULTIPLE times and I’m frustrated with the lack of urgency this show portrays, among MANY other things. Lin Manuel Miranda as Lee Scorseby performs poorly and the added scenes with the magisterium make me fall asleep instantly. The books are edge-of-your-seat, nail biting excitment and i don’t feel that excitement with this show. However, the visuals and the soundtrack are stunning. I highly recommend reading the books first. As always."

I do wish they made the main girl, Lyra, a little older for her age in the series. Instead of 12 maybe 14 would make more sense but it’s a great watch. Absolutely binge worthy"
