When I found out this was an epix addition i believe I Groaned I was like there is no way I will like this. We watch the first episode and I was addicted and sucked in as I'm sure other people have commented it is a love child of Lost and Stephen king with a sprinkle of walking dead. I also get hints of like the Appalachian urban legends, myths, stories? (Sorry do not know the proper term or category) I genuinely like the monsters in here and the scare scenes are quite awesome."

Where do these "undead people " come from and why is the car accident after they attempt to leave the place. I thought it was before they arrived.. then they could use the idea that they may not have survived the accident."

Eerie, tense and setting the stakes about as high as they can go from the first 5 minutes, it’ll definitely leave you white-knuckling the edge of your seat for a second season continuation."

If you are squeamish about seeing very gory dead bodies, this series is not for you. The story has enough surprises to keep you wanting to see the next episodes. I am hooked."

The ending of season 1 is the worst kind of cliffhanger and they leave you with not a single answer to anything. I probs won't watch season 2 cause I am tired of rewarding shows that do this. A few of the actors aren’t that great and some of the special effects were a little too CGI in some parts for me but, it’s very very intriguing and the actors that are good steal the show. Good mystery, the story slowly draws you in, it’s a little creepy and also very entertaining. Very similar to something like Lost with scarier monsters set in the Twilight Zone."

mizzzfit88 shared a tip "Based on last week's episode, I'm having so many theories. Are the monsters humans inhabited by demons that murdered them years ago? Or, is this an alternate realm they're stuck in? The way the girl repeatedly wiped the blood from her collar...human but very creepy. Plus, it was the first time the monsters showed any other emotion other than smiling eerily at people as they walk slowly toward them. It's a really good show that I sincerely hope continues to get better and better as time goes on."
