"As much as I hoped to like this, I didn't. Don't get me wrong I finished it & even watched a few episodes more than once. However, there were plenty of times that I wanted to stop. Its also super infuriating that the show begins & doesnt even acknowledge Sofia and what she did. They even changed a scene to exclude her in a recap in the 1st episode. The only reason I continued was because I wanted to see if Sofia would return. She doesn't until the last 3 minutes of the final episode. Bogus. But whatever. Even others seem to share my sentiment towards it. Most of my little cousins didnt finish & barely watched a few episodes of the show & they were the target audience. What everyone I've talked with think, is that it was Fine enough, hard to get through, (1 person I talked with said they finished it, but they skipped quite a few episodes & only watched the ending for Sofias cameo), not what they hoped, & easily lost interest. What sucks is most can't understand why. Even I don't. I see the good elements & I did actually finish it, but I was kind of glad when it was finally over. There's just something about it that makes people lose interest. Maybe because it doesn't end up taking the strides Sofia did later on or even that they pushed aside her cousin to be a villain. I think the real reason, though, is that Elena is so sure of herself & refuses to grow. Unlike Sofia who wasn't & slowly grew as the show progressed. With this one Elena is kind of a Mary sue & brags a lot. I believe that's the rooted problem. Now dont get me wrong I know shes not Sofia. I just compare it because it's the spin-off for her & thats where most of the audience originated from. Now you're wondering why I liked it. Me too. Ok...jokes aside I think it's because in total the show is good. The only problem is something about the show makes you lose interest. Its work to go through it all. Even though that happens it's still good despite its challenges."
