"This is a very cozy supernatural anime about finding oneself. Natsume's bond with the yokai supercedes that of his human ones because of his ability to relate to their feelings of exclusion. I love how original and breathtaking the Book of Friends is. It really adds to the show's themes and vibe. I recommend this anime to anyone who loves episodic anime and Japanese supernatural mythos.
