I think the idea is interesting, I think a lot of what they talk about him speak of is interesting, but knowing what the creator is into and knowing all that creates a very nasty squick feeling with certain scenes. I think that if it wasn't so focused on child torture and child snuff this would be an interesting show, but it fixates on sexualizing children too much. "

"This isn't what I was expecting, just in the way it so gradually builds to the famed horribleness. Much more exciting than a lot of adventure anime, largely because of the fragility with which the main characters are depicted, especially Riko. Compelling drama built around the fantasy world. Beautiful artwork and music. I'll be watching the sequel movie, soon, and eagerly awaiting season 2, which is set for release this year."
