Bless the Harts

"How did this show never catch on?! I’ll admit that I was slow to take to the series in the first couple episodes but the show really won me over. I can’t call it my favorite, but, with Fox’s Animation Domination block having the Holy Trinity of Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and, the indisputable juggernaut of them all, The Simpsons, this one honestly felt like it came the closest to filling that missing 4th corner. It’s not as down to earth as King of the Hill, it’s not as wacky as Family Guy, but it does have a genuine sense of character, a real strong, well-built setting, and a type of beautiful simplicity that definitely shines through by Season 2. I can’t call it my favorite but I can say I go back to this show more than I have for The Great North or Cleveland Show or anything else that’s tried to fill that phantom 4th corner since King of the Hill left Fox."
