"This is an amazing film that is sometimes hard as hell to watch. Almost every scene feels uncomfortable, like it’s something you shouldn’t be watching. Eggers does a fantastic job of creating such a thick atmosphere of dread. The cinematography deserves the highest praise I can give. The 1.66:1 aspect ratio crafted by Jarin Blaschke is the overall highlight of the film. The look of the lens is perfect; it sets up the feeling of doom throughout the film. Anya Taylor-Joy lays it all out on the table in her performance. She is also the glue that holds the cast together. The music is dreadful in the best kind of way. The VVitch is one of the most genuinely unnerving horror films because Eggers has the guts to earn your fear."

"If you are going to watch The Witch I’d say you’ll need some Patience mostly because it’s a slow build and if you don’t really get their dialect it can be hard to keep track. But I’d say it’s worth the watch, it’s a classic witch story that people from the age would make up, and the raw Feminine energy of the ending made feel electric. "

"I don’t know how to describe what I just watched. Eerie, demonic, cursed…. Sort of gave me vibes of The Village mixed with Midsommar. Might be a slow burn but you never look away!"

"I finally decided to watch this and honestly I did enjoy it. I love just the setting and just grayish look of the film. Plus the eerie music and sounds were a nice touch. I also liked the actors and thought they all had incredible talent. The dad’s voice is cool. The overall family dynamic was cool you actually see them argue and get along. The only part I didn’t really get was the ending. And the witch plot but I liked that it wasn’t just used in a basic way. Pretty cool film"
