"I highly highly recommend this book and Dark Matter by Blake Crouch to everyone. He writes about things that would normally confuse the heck out of me, but he's such a good writer that not only do I follow it well, but he keeps me at the edge of my seat the whole time. Plus I love his characters and feel like I'm on the journey with them. I definitely recommend at least giving one of these books a chance!"

"I’m in love in this book !! It is imprinted in my heart for the rest of my life. So far I have only 3 books like that…for the first time, I didn’t want to finish the book because I was so much immersed in its world that I didn’t want it to end with the last page…I will be re-reading this one for sure !! "Intriguing idea of saving, retrieving and altering memories. The story was so complicated for me that by the end I was unsure where I was in the author’s series of cross-secting time lines and characters. I might pick up another Blake Crouch novel to see whether this was out of the norm."
"3.75 star. <br/><br/>Seemed like the Mandela effect on acid. To begin with I enjoyed the concept of the story. It's true, memories are everything. If you changed or took away someone's experiences they would not be the same person they are today and you could ultimately change their future self.<br/><br/>This was a total mind fudge of epic proportion. The changing of people's thoughts. And as experienced here, humans can only handle so much. While a few things bugged me about the book, the understanding of its implications was fascinating. To live many lives, to experience and alternate reality was illuminating.<br/><br/>Still I was confused about the technology. How could changing one person memory in the chair effect the world? Unless you were actually time jumping. Or if there were alternate realities your leaving that world to parish and fixing your new existence. Unsure if I missed something or just didn't understand but I didn't see the point in it. Ruining others lives to fix your own.<br/><br/>Also it seemed like everyone was a scientist. Even the cop who got caught in the crossfire. The biggest let down of all though was Marcus Slade. The rich guy who took over the project. His story built up in the beginning leading me to believe Marcus would add a much needed twist but it went no where. And the ending had such a simple solution it just fell flat for me."
""But what do you cling to, moment to moment, if memories can simply change."<br/><br/>Blake Crouch has such creative and entertaining story ideas. Recursion is another solid one, and it was easy to get invested in the story. The opening of the book was so interesting, and I couldn't wait to see where it went. <br/><br/>I do feel like there were a few too many characters, and it took me a while to get everything sorted. Once I had it down, though, Recursion was a really enjoyable story. It does have similarities to other stories (it reminded me a lot of Fringe at times), but it's still different enough to stand on its own. I think I would really like Recursion as a TV show. I had fun reading this one, and I can't wait to see what Blake Crouch does next!"
