" While Scream 3 is under-rated fun movie. It was the weakest of the new cast additions. Despite stand out work by Parker Posey, Scott Foley and Patrick Dempsey.
The rest of the new cast is forgettable. The villain is good but I donβt like that they tack on that he got Billy to be a killer. That Billy was just going by his plan.
I just find that to the original. Like Randy pointed out, Billy was in the horror section. Which means he was doing his own research and getting his own ideas from Horror movies."
"Might be my least favorite scream until I watch 4 again"

"Iβm trying to watch all the scream movies this October. This one keeps you guessing the whole time and the ending was nothing like Iβd expected. I loved how they utilized the camera angles and shots in the mansion. All the trap doors and secret rooms made it hard to see what was coming. "
""Scream 3" attempts to bring the popular franchise to a close, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to the high standards set by its predecessors. While the film offers some entertaining moments and maintains the franchise's self-awareness, it ultimately falls victim to a convoluted plot, weaker character development, and a lack of the original's suspense and freshness.
Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, once again delivering a strong performance as the resilient protagonist. However, the supporting cast, including David Arquette and Courteney Cox, feels somewhat underutilized, lacking the depth and growth they showcased in previous films. The introduction of new characters adds a fresh dynamic but fails to generate the same level of interest and investment.
The film's plot takes a more meta approach by placing the characters within the context of a movie production, but it becomes overly convoluted and loses some of the franchise's original charm. The screenplay, penned by Ehren Kruger, lacks the sharpness and cleverness of Kevin Williamson's earlier scripts, resulting in a narrative that feels scattered and predictable at times.
One of the biggest disappointments in "Scream 3" is the diminished suspense and scares. The film relies more on jump scares and gore rather than the intelligent and self-referential horror elements that defined its predecessors. While there are a few tense moments, they are overshadowed by a sense of familiarity and a lack of genuine surprises.
Despite these shortcomings, the film does provide some entertainment value, particularly for fans of the franchise who are invested in the ongoing story of Sidney Prescott. The self-aware humor and references to the horror genre are still present, offering occasional moments of wit and nostalgia. Additionally, the film's production design and cinematography maintain a polished and visually appealing aesthetic."
