Fear Street: 1994

"I do really like this movie and it’s Homage to 90s horror which is pretty rare and I love the modern twist. The writing is can be a little lackluster but it does make up for it with the Nostalgia and fun gore. Really hope they dig up more fear street books to make more movies out of cause this was really cool and I think it can be perfected. "

"MEh. There’s better slashers out there. This one does have queer and POC rep, which is the only good thing about it. Furthermore, I don’t think the film understands how ******* risky it was to be out in the 90s with unsupportive parents. Sam would probably have been shipped off immediately to conversion therapy or kidnapped into the troubled teen industry, and no authority figures would have batted an eye. Just really bugs me to apply Gen Z expectations to a young Gen X situation."

"It’s fun but feels unnecessary to brutally kill some characters that grow on you. I know that’s normal for horror movies. Sort of didn’t really fit this movie."
