"The previous Venom movies weren't regarded as masterpieces, so I don't know why most people are so harsh reviewing this film. I feel that Venom: The Last Dance captures the tone and overall feel of the first two and even ramps up the action a bit. The final fight sequence with all the various symbiotes was pretty cool. I wouldn't have minded if they explored the different symbiotes names and personalities a little more. There are a few stupid and unnecessary scenes, like the dance number in Vegas, that I could have done without. I wasn't crazy about the ending but they do leave a glimmer of hope open to Venom's return with the post credit scene. Overall, it's a fun popcorn flick. 8/10"
"This was super good. You know what you’re getting with these movies. They’re kind of cheesy looking, a lot of slapstick humor, and a lot of gory death. I think this is the best of the bunch. The writer of all three, along with Hardy in this one, finally directs and shows she should have been able to do it the whole time. Star studded cast. Was taken aback hearing Juno Temple with an American accent. Lots of Easter eggs, secret cameos and famous movie quotes make it fun. Killer soundtrack. I was actually shocked a few songs were licensing themselves. Way to go out on top. "
"I had seen the previous two films but don't remember much of the first and even less of the second, however I do know I enjoyed them! Anyway, not sure if this is the same plot style as the others and I've become more critical or if it's actually a lot worse. It seemed like they were trying to do a transition movie - honor the previous mains and introduce their replacements - but I didn't care about the new people and felt they just distracted from the duo I really wanted to see. Also, the writers really dug themselves into a hole cause the only way for the plot to move in the direction they needed was for characters to be extremely stupid on purpose and that was just .. no. Still had its comedic moments, outside of Venom, the character Martin was hilarious and had me laughing the most. Unfortunately the plot outweighs the humor, so 5/10 👨➕👩👧👦 [to reference my favorite line]"
"My father wanted to rent this last night. I've been debating watching it since venom 2 sucked. I skimmed reviews on it and it was described as a "buddy buddy roadtrip." That pretty much covers it as it's just venom and Eddie traveling cross country, fighting that disturbing spider alien. Also what is with super hero movies adding dance numbers? It's supposed to be an action flick, not some weird kiddy thing. I love some kid movies, but this was just dumb. It's cool to watch once, but I'll never watch it again. "
