I listened to this book as audio, Although I enjoyed this book hugely it seems to stretch out immensely making it drag a little. With this being said I still look forward in reading the next book!"

The storytelling is very gripping and weaved into the story so well Meyer writes in way in which you care about each character and root for Sorlida at every turn. I didn’t realize there was a second book and was nearing the end of the book stressed because it ended on a cliffhanger!I’m listening to the second one now and immersed in the world of fairytales and magic. It was an enjoyable book. 4/5 stars."

"I absolutely adored this book! Marrisa Meyer is a must buy author for me and every book I read just further proves my point! It did have an almost spicy scene but was fade to black. I'd say my favorite character was Gild, but I also really liked the mc, Serilda! I love the plot and how more and more secrets are being uncovered and leading into plot. This book made me laughing, crying, smiling, and gasping! It was the most visible reaction(which is a good sign because I normally don't have to many reactions like that unless its a good book) to a book I've had since I read The Lunar Chronicles! Like all the other Marrisa Meyer books I've read before it was 5/5 ⭐'s!"

"My first read by this author. So glad there's a sequel slated for Nov '22. This has such amazing lore and such a sweet romance. Gilded doesn't seem 500 pages. It goes by very quickly. Rumplestiltskin is one of my favorite fairytales and it was fantastic how it was retold. The cliffhanger will have you thinking about it for days. I haven't stopped thinking about it since finishing it. I miss the characters and just want to return! Beautiful, gorgeous, to die for!"
