"This was a page turner! I read it entirely in about 4 hours total. It was brilliantly captivating and dark. As a parent, this was nightmare fuel. 10/10 highly recommend. "

"Cemetery Girl is my second David Bell book - the first was Bring Her Home. There are a few similar things between the two books, but not so many as to where it's distracting.

I finished this book within two days - I tore through it so I could know what was going to happen. It's a bit of a slow burn, but it's very easy to get invested in the story.

Cemetery Girl was more sad than most thrillers I read, and that's totally fine. I was a little bummed out within the first 20 or so pages, and it sets a gloomy tone for the rest of the book. This is not a happy story, and many of the people in this book are unhappy. I was dying to know what was going to happen to these unlikable characters, though.

By the end of the book, I hated everyone besides Susan & Tracy (and maybe Ryan but I'm not totally sure on that haha). The unlikable characters drove a story - there were a lot of secrets, and everyone had their own. Almost everyone in this book is a villain in some way, but I definitely hated Abby the most.

I was trying to decide if I liked that Caitlin's return was given away in the synopsis on the back - I do. I feel like it built suspense, and I was looking forward to when it actually happened, and what was going to happen because of it.

The book went in a different direction than I was expecting, and I really appreciate that. I enjoyed having surprises along the way, and having my questions answered at the end. Everything was tied up a little too nicely, but that's okay - most books go in the opposite direction.

Thank you so much to David Bell & Get Red PR for sending me this book to review! I really enjoyed it, and I'll definitely be reading more David Bell. P.S. David, if you read this, I hope you come back to Murder by the Book for Somebody's Daughter this summer!"
"I liked this book. It wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read but it was different. The character development, the choices that were made, the outcomes. It something refreshing. I always read the same type of genre (suspense, mystery, thriller) so it was nice to read a different take on character development and ending. Something totally unexpected. #davidbell #suspense #mystery #thriller "
