"The no script gimmick is interesting but the kidnap ring is a convenient villain. This all seems a bit unlikely. Also wondering deserted buildings seems like a bad idea. Many bad ideas here results in success in the quest to find a missing and trafficked child. Emotional wattage is bright but much remains unresolved."
"This is a pretty intense movie, thanks only in part to James McAvoy's incredible improvisational performance. The fact that he didn't get a script and had to react in the moment adds a level of realism to the film that's hard to ignore. You can really feel the desperation and panic emanating from him as he searches for his missing son. I raised my rating a tad to reflect this. I wish I had known this before I started watching it.
It's a bold move by the filmmakers, and it pays off in terms of creating a sense of tension and urgency. The story itself is a bit rough around the edges, but McAvoy's performance is so compelling that it carries the film. If you are a fan of his work it is definitely worth checking out. "
