"I finished this show in one night and I don't regret it. Often times high school dramas end up being an amalgamation of what some 37 year old believes high-schoolers act like. If it's not the awkward use of slang, or the insistence on the clique cliché, then it's the painfully dramatized (often glorified) plot. Grand Army does an amazing job at avoiding these flaws. I cried watching this show, not even because the situation was extremely sad, but because I had a moment of such strong relation to one of the characters. There are so many diverse stories and characters here. I was personally so glad to see the diverse representation of black people of different social backgrounds."
