A remake of an older noir film, this movie takes the audience to the harsh living of the 1940’s underworld where drifters abound. A compelling psychological thriller combined with a haunting visual atmosphere does not disappoint. I am confident this film will be a contender come awards season and will hopefully gain the larger audience."

I really enjoyed all the themes explored here, the acting was great, loved all the sets and costuming as well. But the story was right up my alley 😆 I like character driven movies so this right the spot. It was one of those movies I still think about from time to time. Dark, doomed and dreamy. Highly recommend ❤️"

Ultimately the main protagonist is an un-likable character, but that’s the point. A cautionary tale about manipulation, integrity, greed, love, lust, success, and the downfall. Very well done."

A 2+ hour movie should not end in a scene I can predict - down to the dialog - barely 30 minutes into the movie. Was very disappointed. Had high hopes for it."

With many twists and turns, the plot will have you on the edge of your seat, and Del Toro does an incredible job of pulling you in. It's heart-wrenching and beautifully casted!"
