"This exceptionally acted and scripted historical series is where I first saw Rebecca Ferguson's (of Mission: Impossible movie fame) acting skills. She is absolutely beautiful and talented. She takes such an incredible command of every scene. When I watched this series, I was riveted to each episode to find out what happens next."
"I love every one of P.G's Wars of the Roses novels. Though, I was prepared for a lot of the ott corniness that comes with a miniseries developed from a novel. What I wasn't prepared for though is just how good this actually is! It followed along almost verbatim at times with the books, albeit out of order of course but still, it was great. Next I'll be watching The White Princess and The Spanish Princess. I'm hoping that alot of this isn't just repeated though. We'll see. "
"The books were phenomenal, but the series was also fantastic! Rebecca Ferguson does a stellar job! The drama and the intrigue, the sex, the backstabbing, the heartache, the family relations & the subtle themes of witchcraft/superstition just intrigued me from the start. Max Irons was also great, but Rebecca Ferguson CARRIED this show and was just wow! I re-read all the books and rewatch this show at least 1 or 2 times a year. It’s excellent. Watch out for the king maker though you will want to come for him yourself. He’s an evil ass who treats his own children like totally garbage. I also struggled with Edwards brothers- you feel some sympathy for Richard until the last few episodes and then, not so much. Overall the acting is excellent! The books & TV series made me so invested in learning all I could about The Yorks & The Lancasters, The Tudors, and The Rivers….ALL the families!! I was so invested and interested in learning all I could about The War of The Roses and this time period that I binged the movie series and every book I could get my hands on (non-fiction & fiction) Phillips Gregory (author) is incredible! It was such a turbulent yet fascinating time of history. I could not get enough!! Let me just say one more time that Rebecca Ferguson absolutely killed this role! She’s gorgeous, so innocent and sweet at the start growing a backbone and a fierce love and desire to protect her babies as time goes on. She’s so perfect I’m a fan for life! This is also one super sexy series!! Run to watch and to read! #waroftheroses #rebeccafergeson #mustwatch #sexy #maxirons"
"Loved learning about this era with this show. Then went and watched White Princess to continue. Then the Tudors. "
