"I know I wrote a long review on of this at one point. See it. I originally saw this when it debuted in theaters way back in the day. It is brilliant! This look into a musical virtuoso is captivating and exhilarating. Recommended. "

"I have seen this amazing film many times. It dramatizes spectacularly the real life claim of the minor classical composer Salieri and his claim that he killed the great classical composer Amadeus Mozart. The film is brilliantly played by Tom Hulce as Mozart, F. Murray Abraham as Salieri. All the rest of the cast are great as supporting actors. The scenes are portrayed in vivid colour and incredible period accurate costumes. The music is uplifting and haunting."

"Well, it was definitely weird and strange. However, I feel like I learned a lot about that time period. Mozart was weirdly crazy but I had fun. Granted I watched it with friends so that probably affected my enjoyment levels."

"A phenomenally well executed film. All aspects of filmmaking (such as acting, direction and editing, sound mixing among others) all cohesively working together in near-perfect sync. Acting by Tom Hulce and especially F Murray Abraham are incredible (Abraham thoroughly deserved his win, and might be one of the Top 10 greatest wins in the Best Actor category (even if both of them deserved to share it IMO)). This is easily the best Best Picture winner of the 1980s. Both of Milos Forman’s wins are among the greatest Best Director wins of all time. It has quickly vaulted itself to being among my personal favorite movies."

"Milos Forman at his finest. The only director whose biopics I truly enjoy (People vs Larry Flynt) due to their strong vision and the message as opposed to re-enacted wikipedia pages. Top quality cinema at every turn."

"HOLY COW!! This was a well good three hours (watched the directors cut) I’ve spent watching Amadeus! it was my first time watching it- and it was totally worth it!
Mozart is absolutely hysteric and Salieri is quite the (almost) opposite. The music and opera through the movie is so- good! and just hearing the way Mozart’s mind works is insane!! and his laugh is honestly like mine though, i can’t lie"
