"Sisu is a word that cannot be fully translated. In English it roughly means strength of will, determination, perseverance and sustainable courage in the face of unimaginable adversity. Jorma Tommila's character is all that and so much more. He is like an indestructible Terminator T-1000 with a burning hatred in his heart that would scare the devil himself. Packed with unbelievable, glorious carnage, the viewer most definitely needs to suspend disbelief to fully enjoy the escapades of this one man death squad. As unrealistic as it may seem, it is a lot of fun to witness him slaughter Nazis in relentlessly brutal ways. 9.5/10"

"Finnish action/war movie set at the end of WWII. Limited dialogue, super ultra violent, suspenseful in a good way and a cool hero to root for. In the third act I was starting to wonder, but then the ending is so good. They went, well, we went this far. The best part of this movie though is a reminder of the worldwide atrocities at the hands of the Nazi’s and the comeuppance they deserve. "

Still good though, still worth a watch, but it's not one I'd purchase or anything "

"Yeah it was ridiculous but it was intentional, brutal and as gritty as they come. Bodies can somehow block .50 cal bullets, oxygen can be sucked out of the necks and Finns speak Finnish but the Nazis speak English. That's the kinda ride you're in for."
