"If you think you know where this show will go after watching the first episode, or even the first season, I promise you... You. Will. Be. Wrong!!! This show won't be for everyone, obviously. You can tell that by reading the reviews. My own daughter couldn't get into it & quit watching after about 3 or 4 episodes. I, on the other hand, had watched the first season when it first came out & was devastated that there wasn't a second season. I didn't know if there would even be another season because I could tell there would be people put off, like my daughter, by the oftentimes unlikable cast & the slow burn of the first season. I found out that there was another season, but then I couldn't afford HBO. Then there were more seasons, so I decided to wait until the show was finished to binge the whole thing. And I wanted my daughter to watch it with me because we usually always like the same things. So yeah, not everyone is going to enjoy this show or the absolute brilliance of the script & the acting. But don't think for a second that watching the first season will be ANY example of future seasons. Every season is a new Dory (the main main character out of four). She is reinvented each time. Every season has a new theme. The characters always stay true to their original personalities from season one, even Dory. It's just that Dory evolves. And you love her & you hate her but you can't stop watching her. The acting abilities of Alia Shawkat and Meredith Hagner are phenomenal. I also adored John Early as the GBF. He made me laugh so much! John Reynolds was the most one-dimensional character of the four but he was also great. I was happy to see other wonderful actors on the different seasons such as Ron Livingston, Christine Taylor, Louie Anderson (rip), Susan Sarandon, Jeff Goldblum, Rosie Perez, and Kathy Griffin. Just because I only listed here the more famous of the supporting cast, there are soooo many more exceptional actors coming and going throughout this show."

But this morning I heard the sad news about my beloved comedian Louie Anderson’s death and literally seconds later he knocks on the door to guest star in the third season! It’s like he was popping back in for a final appearance for me! So I have this & the final season of Baskets to see Louie. RIP Mr. Anderson! "

"This show and these characters just go from a normal plot of some friends trying to locate a missing person to absolute craziness, off the rail, wild plot twists, insane antics and over the top characters! I can’t believe that I LOVED it! It’s complete lunacy but so well written and acted. Hilarious yet has you on the edge of your seat wondering what are they going to do next. Sooooooo gooood!"
